Every few months residents within the Nursing Home like to do a session about the importance of eating healthy. This month we concentrated on healthy and unhealthy foods.
We looked at the Eatwell Plate, completed worksheets, cut and paste activities, word searches and did a collage of our favourite healthy meals. We watched some videos on why we need to eat well to ensure our bodies stay healthy and we also learnt how important good food was for our immune system.
Karen’s favourite healthy meal was: broccoli, peas, carrots, sweetcorn and chicken. Gordon chose grilled bacon, cabbage and potatoes and Mark chose fish (sea bass) with salad.
