This past week residents within the Nursing Home have had great fun joining in a game of Walking Bingo. We accessed this in the ‘Resources to help with structure and keeping busy’ section of the Mencap Website.

Debbie, Mark, Karen Fiona and Gordon all joined in the Countryside Version and headed out for a walk in their local surroundings to see what they could find.

To win residents had to find:

• 3 different types of tree
• 5 different colours of flowers
• a crow
• a bumble bee
• a butterfly
• a dog
• a cat
• a road sign
• an aeroplane
• a tractor

Mark was our overall winner as he found the most items on the list and not only did he find them but he used his tablet to take photogrpahs of them. Mark was also the only resident who saw an areoplane in the sky.

Mark was presented with a Certificate of Achievement and his winning prize (a pedometer) from Nurse Claire.
