All health and social care services in Northern Ireland are monitored and inspected by the Regulation and Quality Improvement Authority. The RQIA is the independent body responsible for monitoring and inspecting the availability and quality of health and social care services in Northern Ireland, and encouraging improvements in the quality of those services. for all health and social care services in Northern Ireland
The RQIA checks all our services to ensure they are meeting the required standards, and they share their findings with us and the public. They are able to take action against providers who do not meet minimum requirements or if a service user’s basic needs are not being met.
Each of our services are inspected annually by the RQIA who prepare and publish a report after each inspection. These reports can be downloaded here.
