Chi Me with Caroline
Over the month of October residents within the Nursing Home will be joining in weekly Chi Me sessions run by Caroline McGrath, Caroline is the Community Health Development Practitioner within the South Eastern Health and Social Care Trust and has been working closely with both residents of the Nursing Home and Clients who attend The Resource Centre for many years now.
Chi Me is a series of Tai Chi influenced exercises, it can help improve muscular strength, co-ordination, flexibility (all of which may aid in falls prevention) and relaxation. As-well as the numerous benefits that Chi Me can bring, it also creates a wonderful sense of well-being and can improve quality of life.
Our first session was held on 7/10/21 and as you can see from the photographs below residents really enjoyed joining in with the exercises, everyone is looking forward to the remaining sessions and having the chance to catch up with Caroline. Many thanks to Caroline for organising these sessions.
