Christmas Festivities
A big festive hello from The Beeches. This week the residents have enjoyed making and receiving lovely Christmas cards from their friends and family. Cottage A and B were very fortunate to enjoy a Christmas pantomime, ‘Jack and The Beanstalk’ from the comfort of their home. Cottage A and B thoroughly enjoyed watching the Christmas pantomime in the social room. Oh yes they did and everyone enjoyed homemade popcorn along with lots of treats. The smell alone of popcorn filled the room and it tasted so good. The show features a special cameo appearance from BBC CWR’s Trish Adudu, as well as a junior chorus of eight local children who are rehearsing and filming in a separate bubble. Thanks to Cahoots NI for sharing on Twitter, that Belgrade Theatre were hosting its first online pantomime.
Cottage C and D will get the opportunity to enjoy the Pantomime next week.
We also had a lovely visit from a local school, Christian Harmony on Friday. The pupils sang Christmas Carols to the residents, some joining in singing along with the children. It was a lovely treat for us all. The children brought sweets for the residents to enjoy which was very kind of them. The residents enjoyed them with a cup of tea that afternoon.
Hope you are all keeping well and safe.
