Halloween at The Beeches Nursing home
Everyone had a great time celebrating Halloween at The Beeches Nursing home, we had a fun filled week of special events and activities.
To start off the week, we had a visit from “Kidz farm”, they had a great set up in our courtyard where everyone could get involved. It was lovely for all the residents to interact with the animals. They cuddled the rabbits, met the donkey, fed the goats and the hamsters and some were even brave enough to hold the snake and tarantula.
We then had great fun painting our Halloween suncatchers and carving the pumpkins. Some of the residents really enjoyed our sensory activity – finding the coins in the water beads.
To finish off, we had our Halloween fancy dress party and buffet. Everyone looked so well in their outfits and had a great morning dancing around to some halloween classics before getting tucked into our lovely buffet which was prepared by our chef Paul, who also got into the halloween spirit by dressing up.
As you can see from the photos below, everyone at the nursing home had a great week and really enjoyed the halloween celebrations.
