We have so many beautiful lavender plants in our garden and the residents love the smell from these when spending time outside in the good weather. Staff member Aimee thought it would be a fun activity to make our own lavender bags and the residents thought this was a great idea.

Karen, David, Rose Anne and Fiona collected some stalks of lavender, the flowers from these were removed and placed in a warm area to dry out, this took a few weeks but was worth the wait.

The next step was to spoon the dried lavender into small net bags and the finally tie these with some ribbon, these turned out just great, they smelled so lovely, Fiona decided to give 1 each to her mum and sister as a wee gift.
