The Beeches celebrated Earth Day by beginning their recycling project. The residents completed recycling worksheets which included information about our new recycling company RiverRidge. The residents were educated on the new bin systems, we chatted about what items go into each of the bins and looked at why we should recycle and how important it is for our environment. We also chatted about were our rubbish goes to and learnt interesting facts that our food waste will go on to fuel an Anaerobic Digester plant that creates electricity for Firmus energy.

The residents enjoyed the sorting worksheets, putting the correct rubbish into the correct bins, completing word searches and next week we are running a recycling poster competition.
