๐ ๐ Christmas activities and events at The Beeches Nursing home ๐ ๐
We have been very busy in the month of December getting ready for Christmas. We have had some lovely events and activities to keep us busy and to celebrate the most wonderful time of the year.
Firstly, we had Tessa in the home facilitating The sound healing spa (relaxation with Christmas sounds). Everyone really enjoyed this session with Tessa, it was relaxing and very peaceful for all residents.
We also had events such as Mrs Browne comedy show which went down a treat with the residents, everyone enjoyed the show and had great fun playing games and singing Christmas songs with Mrs Browne.
To top things off we had our annual Reindeer visit, Santa made a surprise visit and everyone got a lovely photo taken with Dasher the reindeer, Santa and sleigh. After this event, we all had hot chocolate and marshmallows for our tea break while listening to some lovely Christmas music.
We were also joined by Jude from โJude Createsโ who helped us make a beautiful reindeer from airdrying clay which is a lovely Christmas ornament for the bedrooms. In terms of art activities, we also had fun creating our own Christmas board in the activity room, colouring in Christmas pictures and making our own decorations. Helen made some lovely baubles with us which are a beautiful addition to our Christmas trees.
Other activities which we all enjoyed included: Christmas quiz, Christmas movies, Magical Christmas home visit when santa, his elves and their Christmas pony came to visit, Tom the music man helped us celebrate with some Christmas music and Ashleen (beautician) pampered some of the ladies as a Christmas treat.
Last but not least, we had our Interactive Christmas storytelling session which really got us all in the Christmas spirit and ready to enjoy the magic of Christmas.
We would like to wish you all a very merry Christmas and a happy new year, from all the residents and staff at The Beeches Nursing home. See you all in the new year with some new and exciting activities and events.
Merry Christmas everyone! ๐๐๐ ๐
