The residents enjoyed lots of 4th July activities from making decorations and crowns as part of Arts and Crafts to a mini 4th July parade around the building. We finished off the day with an Open Air Concert from the band, Shalaili. Everyone thoroughly enjoyed the evening listening to old time favorites such as ‘Whiskey in the Jar’  and ‘ Black Velvet Band.’ There was refreshments through-out the concert and some residents enjoyed a wee dance with their friends.

The residents from Cottage C also enjoyed making healthy treats that were part of the refreshments given out. The residents got involved in the cutting up of the fruit. Shirley enjoyed mixing the bowl and drizzled a little chocolate over the top.

The residents from Cottage B have been enjoying trying new games such as the big dice game. This is a great game to encourage our residents to start conversations with their friends. The game is also great for promoting hand-eye coordination, throwing the dice to each other.

Last week some of the residents enjoyed the good weather and went out in small groups for scenic drives to Ardglass and along the Coast Road.
