On Thursday 24th June we had two teams, “The Smartie Ones” and “The Dream Team” enter the Beeches Big Bonza quiz organized by Adele from The Resource Centre. The “Smartie Ones” team members were; Briege W, Niall, Ian, Malcolm, Grainne, Nicola and Robina. “The Dream Team” members were were; Sharon, Richard, Briege D, Karen, Katherine, Rachel, Paul and Damien. We attended via zoom, the residents loved seeing all there friends on the screen. Orla from the Resource Centre was our fantastic compere. There were other teams that took part “The Robins” from the nursing home along with the guys from The Resource Centre and the residents from number 44.

There was 6 rounds consisting of general knowledge questions. “The Dream team” scored an impressive 32 points out of 36. “The Robins” came 3rd place with 34 points. There was a tie breaker then between “The Smartie Ones” and the “Blackstone Quizards”. It was very close but The “Blackstone Quizards won by one point. The winners won a goodie bag and everyone that participated received a certificate.

Well done to all that joined in, everyone done a great job.
