Over the past week Residents within the Beeches Nursing Home have been joining in with a lot of St Patrick’s Day themed activities. Resident’s created a fantastic St Patrick’s Day Project which was displayed on our notice board, this included:

A poem entitled “Saint Patrick” by Desmond.

A fabulous pot of gold art piece created by Gordon and Rose Anne.

A gorgeous rainbow coloured by Patsy, Eamon and Pat.

St Patrick’s day matching activities and word searches completed by Mark, Karen, Fiona, Debbie, Richard, Lily and David.

Finger painted shamrocks by Nicholas, Emma, Joe, Louise, Evelyn and Chantelle.

On the day we got dressed up in green and enjoyed the Irish music which set everyone’s “toes a tapping”, watched some of the brilliant Dances by Michael Flatley in River Dance, decorated some cupcakes and joined in a St Patrick’s Day Quiz.

Desmond, Karen and Richard all recited their favourite poems and limericks and then to finish off we had a great singsong then enjoyed some green lemonade and party food.
