
Move With Mary
Age N.I and Lady Mary Peters launched an exercise programme aimed at keeping individuals moving while staying at home. Move with Mary is a series of 5 free online exercise videos for every capability, ranging from seated stretches to strength, balance and aerobic exercises.
Within the Beeches Nursing Home we find that being active every day helps us to keep our spirits up, get a good nights sleep, keeps our muscles and bones strong and can prevent health conditions from getting worse.
We also listened to a Talk by a local Physiotherapist who told us that being active every day also helps to reduce the risk of a fall.
Residents decided it would be a great idea to join in these low level exercises once a day as they wanted to keep moving, keep active and keep safe within their home.
