We’ve had a SPOOKTACULAR week
Last week the residents from The Beeches enjoyed various activities such as canvas and pottery painting. Colours pottery shop in Ballynahinch provided us with Canvas painting kits and lovely pottery to paint. See below pictures of the residents creating their wonderful pieces of art. Niall, Walter, Ian, Sharon and Paul had great fun painting their spooky Ghost canvas and were delighted with their end results. Chris, Karen C, Karen McD, Deborah, Vivienne, Robina, Nicola, Briege, Shirley and Damien got to chose from different Halloween pottery such as a vampire, a Witches cat or a skull plate. Everyone had great fun deciding what different colours to use to paint their pottery with.
The residents also had great fun making chocolate apples. This activity brought back childhood memories for some of the residents as they chatted about what they would have done in their younger days at Halloween, carving turnips and make chocolate apples. Some residents chose to have a chocolate banana. There was milk or white chocolate and lots of different toppings to choose from. See below of some pictures of the residents having great fun making them. The chocolate apples and bananas were that delicious we didn’t get that many pictures of the chocolate apples as we couldn’t wait to eat them.
We finished off with our social distanced Halloween parties in each of the cottages. Everyone had great fun, eating lots of delicious treats and played Halloween games such as, ‘Pin the Wart on the Witch’. Well done to those who chose to dress up for the party, all your costumes were fantastic.
Happy Halloween xx
